Our remote working team at Logico Creative is on a new mission – we are on the hunt for the best coffee spots for team meetings in and around Durban (still awaiting manager’s approval on international spots! ?).
We’re calling it CoffeeCopy&CMYK and we aim to uncover the best spots for a creative remote working team like ours to get together, brainstorm, connect, and just chill! So, if you know of a great spot that has comfy seating, good coffee, stable WiFi and great vibes, let us know.
Is it a small business? Even better – we’d love to give them a punt (disclaimer: as long as their coffee is good!) Who said remote working didn’t have its “perks” ?
- When our remote team needed a strat session this June 2023, we turn it into an adventure to explore our city, connect with people, and of course get some fresh caffeine-infused air to ignite our creativity. For a team that creates content – for people – this is a great way to get inspired. So it was all-hands on deck again this month for our CoffeeCopy&CMYK catch-up. We visited Café Rose, a charming little coffee shop hidden inside the Essex Terrace Office Park in Westville.
The coffee and treats – great! For the non-coffee drinkers, a fruit crush was just as good. The team hugs – even better! The staff accommodated our group seating requirements and the extra table space for our laptops. It made for a great space for our team to exchange ideas and fuel creativity. If you’re in the area, grab a cuppa at Cafe Rose. Alternatively, look out for their pop ups at an upcoming market near you!
- We kicked off the great search at a lovely little coffee spot called I Love My Coffee, inside the Fairways Office Park in Abrey Road, Kloof. We were at the office park to drop off donations at the Jes Foord Foundation, and decided to have an impromptu team chat thereafter. The coffee shop’s quaint Midlands look stuck out against the office park aesthetics, with repurposed furniture and eclectic décor – but maybe that’s the charm of having an escape from your desk during a busy day.The coffee was good, the waitress friendly, and the relaxed ambience a great backdrop for a fun chat. Will definitely visit when we’re “up the hill” again.
